North Somerset Councillor for South ward and Weston Town Councillor for Bournville

James Clayton has been a dedicated councillor since 2013, serving the community of South Ward with a strong commitment to public service. As the Mayor of Weston-super-Mare from 2021 to 2022, he championed local initiatives and community engagement.

Previously, James held the position of Chairman of Community Services for Weston-super-Mare Town Council from 2019 to 2021 and again from 2022 to 2024, overseeing key projects that improved local amenities and services. Currently, he serve as the Executive Member for Safety in the Community for North Somerset Council, focusing on policies and initiatives that enhance public safety and well-being across the region.
